Trip to singapore

I wanted to write about our singapore trip for a long time. Here is a short summary .We went on a trip to singapore when thaatha and paati had come here on a vacation. It was actually 4 days trip. We had booked trains from KL to Singapore and vice versa. It took nearly 9 hrs to reach singapore via train. We checked into Hotel 81 Dickson at Little India as this place was very close to MRT and walk away from good South Indian restuarants.  Hotel was extremely clean and good for this price and location. Our iternary started on the same day evening. We went to esplanade theatre, marina bay and sun tech city.  These places were very beautiful to see at night with all colorful lights.

After spending some time , we returned back to little india, had a nice dinner at woodlands restuarant and finished the trip for that day. Next day we went to Clarke Quay for a boat ride , then came back to little india to visit Sri Veerakaliamman temple, had lunch at Komalavillas restuarant and then started for singapore zoo.

We took passes for both zoo visit and night safari. Singapore zoo is a must visit for a family on vacation. Though night safari was well below our expectation, the tribal dance at the entrance of night safari is a visual treat for ur eyes. Next day we went to Sentosa, perfect entertainment venue for all. Cheapest and best way to explore sentosa is to explore on your own than using travel agent’s packages. Go through sentosa website for the adventures they offer and plan ur visit accordingly. Never miss the “songs of the sea” show at the evening. Book ur tickets online well ahead of ur travel or u might miss the show. Tickets get sold very fast for the show.

There is one more thing to mention about sentosa – Universal Studios. We didnt visit Universal Studios as it needs 1 whole day to explore and was bit over priced. On our last day at singapore, we made a short trip to Mustaffa store for shopping and then after lunch we boarded train back to KL. Look forward for more details on our singapore trip in upcoming posts.
